Hello! I’m Megan- I’ve worked in a professional setting caring for animals since 2016, and I’ve loved every moment of it!

Since I was young, I’ve always had at least two dogs in my home. I’m very familiar with collies, labs, poodles, and doodles! I grew up dog sitting the neighbors animals, and that’s where my love for the pet-care industry began.

Since 2016, I’ve worked with a breeder in Central IL to bell and crate train 8-13 week old puppies. I just recently ceased working with them, and as of now, I’ve helped to train over 500 puppies! I currently work at at SportsVet in Savoy as a dog grooming assistant, which I love! I previously worked at a local dog boarding kennel as a kennel technician where I was responsible for caring for dogs in all aspects- feeding, exercise, medication, and even assisting with grooming! Someday I hope to own my own doggy daycare, boarding, and grooming facility ❤️

I now live on my own, and I have a perfect 9 year old toy poodle named Levi!

I’ve worked with all sizes of dogs- from Great Danes to 2lb Chihuahuas, I’ve done it all!

I have extensive experience in giving medications to dogs- eye drops, injections, and pills!

I also offer deshedding (for those hard-to-manage double coated pups!), in home bath/blow dries (I have my own grooming/bathing/drying supplies) and nail trimming for a very reasonable price. Ask about adding it on to your pets next visit with me!

I work 7:30am-3:30pm Monday-Friday each week. I’m available for early morning, afternoon, evening, and housesitting visits. If you message me in advance, I can almost always make any request work!

I can crate your dog when needed, and can stick to an exact schedule to ensure that your pet stays as comfortable as possible. With me there, your pet will be tuckered out by the time you get home, for a nice relaxing evening and some good sleep!

Growing up, I had a wide variety of animals around the house. This is where my passion began. I took care of dogs, cats, fish, and even a bird.

Now I am upgrading to all animals big and small, and taking my experiences to become a part of the Home to Roam team.

I understand a lot of specific body language for multiple animals, allowing me to better care for your pets. Cleanliness and schedules are important to me, as I want to provide the best care possible. I'll enjoy updating you about your pet's day with me and sending the cutest photos. I'll treat your pets like my own and offer you peace of mind while you're away.

I'm a freelance worker/stay at home dog dad, so I can make most times fit in my schedule with prior notice!

I'd care for them just like my pets! That is, if my pets were also paying me. 😂
